The March for Stolen Lives and Looted Dreams

I respectfully joined The March for Stolen Lives And Looted Dreams last Saturday. Together we demanded that elected leaders:

- Fire and arrest abusive cops.

- Defund the police and invest in youth and communities.

- Repeal 50-A and enforce accountability and transparency.

- Pass local, state and federal anti-chokehold bills.

Together we chanted Black Lives Matter, No Justice No Peace and Enough Is Enough.

I was moved by the dignity, humanity and determination of the people I marched alongside. I am inspired by their fight and the people they represent. Because good things come to those who fight.

I recognize that I will never understand what it means to be Black in this country. I acknowledge the historical, repeated, systemic racism and injustice that exists. I am committed to learning. I am committed to taking responsibility for change. I stand with the Black and POC communities. I stand with you in action.
